Designed for customers making use of Altech Technology Concepts’ ADSL service, Broadband Internet Access delivers high-speed, reliable, prioritised Internet access over high-quality local and international bandwidth.

Traffic is given optimum access across the local loop or SAT-3/Seacom fibre cables.

Altech Technology Concepts’ backbone network has been designed with a specific breakout in Europe, which typically results in lower latency (about 200ms) into Europe and the rest of the world.

The end-to-end speed of access is determined by the performance-level of the customer’s physical link (from 512Kbps to 4Mbps) in both an uncapped environment and on a usage basis.

Uncapped Broadband Business Access, as its name suggests delivers, a non-capacity limited service for small and medium sized businesses with the convenience of a predictable fixed monthly price.

Usage-based products are available in two permutations, namely Platinum and Gold access and are subject to Altech Technology Concepts’ prioritisation policy.

ATC’s ADSL network is optimised for business applications including but not limited to web browsing, email, VoIP, streaming, VPN, FTP and other traffic.

Instead of monitoring usage and ‘managing’ or ‘shaping’ traffic that does not fall into one of these categories, Altech Technology Concepts’ network has been designed to give higher priority to business-related applications.

The network has also been designed to offer higher priority to traffic carried across the various classes of access available to customers.

When it comes to ADSL Broadband Business Internet Access, Platinum-grade usage-based access carries the highest priority, closely followed by Gold-grade usage-based access and lastly, uncapped access.
